Maf sensor and egr reading

Maf sensor and egr reading

Postby mitzi1 on Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:33 pm

while doing a quick look at the ecu readings, I noticed the maf sensor reading was .44 gm/sec with ignition on and engine off. Is this normal. I as expecting a 0 reading as engine was off and no air was flowing through the intake. Any information appreciated. Also at idle egr reading is 70%. Seems high. Is this normal please.

L200Shogun is correct. The EGR system is quite complex and varies according to inputs from a number of different sensors. The outputs from these sensors can be tested to determine whether the ECU is getting the correct information. They're detailed in the online manual.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

It varies. On a really cold day it will be zero. Just add a resister and keep it closed
