Yes, I can recommend, you will still need driving lights though.

thanks Dave but little confused. If You feel I still need something else (such as light bar) then why would I do both? (I shouldn't need to spend money twice??) Appreciate results are subjective.

I found the Low Beams to be fantasic, nice clean cut off, but flick it to High Beam and its bloody dismal to say the least.
Sorted it out by installing a nice good quality Slimline lightbar to the nudge bar, wow what a difference, couldnt fault it.
Hooked it all up using the OEM Harness, so easy

Used to be so much easier in the "old" days. Wack in a set of 80 or 90/100 globes, a fabbed up 6mm wiring harness, fed straight off the alternator and the world lit up with a nice coloured light.

Couldn't get any easier than this, RHK. Just a higher wattage ballast and bulb,

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Yeah, the quality might be a bit suss, but a big improvement in low beam. High beam will never be any good, as previous posters have noted.

Covid lockdown craziness. As an automotive repair business I'm allowed to stay open. But the customers are not allowed to leave home to bring their cars to me. :( Lucky I sold the shop and operate from home now and have a couple of restoration projects to keep me occupied. Plenty worse off than me, unfortunately.

Thanks for comments. Is the HID setup not a single lens with a shutter system that drops down cutting the throw of light to give low beam?
So how the Stedi 35w help low beam but not benefit high?.
Over here in little NZ. Its illegal to have a light bar on public roads. Driving lights have to be in pairs like spotlights. Oem head lights 70% there, just want simple way to get other 30%

I'd suggest that, if you're happy with low beam, the addition of spot/flood lights would be the best option. Just consider where most of your driving takes place. I find the newer street signs are a lot more reflective theses days and usually throw as much light back as a car with high beam in some cases.

So the option to switch back to just the regular high beam can be an advantage.

Bloody tough alright Chris. Sole traders like me have had not one cent of support until the last two little lockdowns. Gerry is probably having a new Yacht commissioned as we suffer.
