Dash Cam hard wiring

Dash Cam hard wiring

hi everyone.
just hardwired my first dashcam into my 21 triton
i bought the same barrel cam model that is offered as an option from dealer (for $1000 fitted)
for $299 +$50 for wiring kit to save some money ive got it all connected and it runs when the car is on
but its also meant to stay powered to catch accidents etc when we've left the car alone.
but at the moment it switches on/off with the engine.

ive got it running into the acc/cigarette lighter fuse.(fuse 2 in manual)

question is, have i put it in the correct fuse (if not which one should i use)
or have i not grounded the line correctly.

note: the hard wire kit is the correct matching kit from same manufacturer and was designed to not drain the battery.

To keep it running for awhile while your away or to activate it on a car park "bump" you would need something like this...very easy to install and it works a treat https://www.blackvue.com.au/product/acc ... magic-pro/
Ever noticed if somebody is driving slower than you is an idiot,
and anyone going faster than you is also an idiot?

Try going directly to the battery and not the ciggy lighter cause if you turn the keys off all power is lost.

ill try a different fuse.
the manual wont tell me which fuse has constant power. and i dont feel like getting a multimeter just for this.
