Do the cooling tubes run horizontal or vertical?

Probably doesn't matter too much but I'd have the inlet on the bottom and the outlet at the top. That way the oil should be pushing through ALL of the cooler.

If both at top or bottom you're more likely to have dead spots in the cooler where there is no flow and this would reduce its effectiveness.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

yer chris the bar run horizontal so left to right or if your a right to left kinda guy lol
as you can see there is a fitting on 1 side and 2 on the other so maybe i use the uper on the right and the lower on the other side so it has to go threw and down or up to get past
see bottom pic move right side inlet or outlet to the top???

so if you know fitting sizes that port on the side is 3/4 bspp
so friging huge for my needs

im working on the more oil the trany has the better the cooling it will be so im guessing this will hold a nother 2 or so liters (havent checked yet but will)
and a big arse thermo fan to cool it as i have a 7" thermo on the current setup but still not good enough so upgrading we will go

I'd go with lower to higher too for the same reason as NowForThe5th.

I take it that treatment didn't do much?

Improvement is something, indicates the problem might be a cooked converter? You didn't have yours from new am I right?

Of course, that's the challenge with the black magic device (auto transmissions). Only wizards truly understand them, and charge accordingly :D

Rip it out and chuck a Lenco behind it
