Can be a real bitch of a job as those bearing can be seriously hard to remove from the axles.
Firstly you need to cut/break the bearing retainer off... I used a dremal and a cold chisel, be careful not to damage the axles.
Remove abs ring...

Then remove the bearing retainer.

Once the retainer is off you'll probably need a hydraulic press to remove the bearings... Although you might be lucky by holding onto the hubs and by dropping the ends of the axles onto something solid.. That didn't work in my case and I had to take the axle down to a local mechanic to use his press.

Revisiting this topic, just gotten the dreaded noise of the worn bearing. I did the fronts 12mths ago so at 225thou Im guessing the rears are ready to change.

So magic million dollar question, will I need a tub of vaseline for the MMA bearings or can I source these elsewhere for non chinesium good quality bearings.

I ended up getting to 2nd had axels as the water had got in rusted the area where the seals run and apparently the bearings are on so tight you need a decent press to get them apart

I honestly can't remember exactly what I paid for my genuine bearings, I think it was over $200 for just one side from memory, but I was in Kununurra and they had to be special order from Perth so I expected I'd have to bend over.

Non genuine were about half the price from repco but didn't come with the correct retainer with abs ring, even though it was the correct part number.

Yeah I’ll get onto the usual suspects and then try my other sources. Not overly enthusiastic on doing this but it’s not a quiet cabin nor want to the thing on back of a truck
