GLX+ Drive Line Spec

GLX+ Drive Line Spec

Postby Bitsamissing on Sat Dec 16, 2017 4:27 pm

A question for the mechanical gurus.

I have a GLX+ Auto MQ with a 3-position drive selector - 2H, 4H & 4L.

The manual indicates that 4H cannot be used on dry pavement. So am I correct in surmising that there is no centre diff in this model?

I've only just taken delivery and have only driven on dry pavement so far. Any thoughts on when 4H can be used? Wet pavement? Dry gravel? Or just suck and see if I can feel the drive-line loading up?

You're correct, there is no centre diff in the GLX models. I have a MN GLX which has the same setup and find 4H useful on loose gravel roads, it makes it feel a lot more stable. Definitely not for asphalt or dirt roads with a more compacted surface as you'll get wind up around corners.
