Standard Fj Cruiser wheels on Mq

Standard Fj Cruiser wheels on Mq

Postby mqjosh on Mon Aug 17, 2015 9:46 am

Hi, i have a set of standard Fj cruiser wheels that I'd like fitted on my mq, the offset is +15 which should work ok with 265/70/17 tyres but I was told I need hub spacers made up to centralise the rim on the hub? Has anyone else fitted fj wheels on a triton? If so how did you go about solving the hub issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hub centric rings. Tyre shops sell them. Places on the net custom make them to any size.

I just bought a set of FJ rims for my triton
I can confirm they fit a ML and a MN, not sure about the MQ

the offset is the widest legal offset you can go, depending then of tyre size

in a 265/70/17 size the tyre will be inside the guard and no trimming, mudflap removal necessary

Sucks to be you, glad I bought a 3.2 :o

7.5 wide
good enough for 285 or if I can find the funds 295 tyres
have to give the diff gears something to slow them down, quick off the line at the moment

these are about the only 17" factory fitment rim that come in a +15 and able to run the 285 wide tyre
as you are aware +15 is pretty good on these vehicles for 99% of use.

Cheers guys spot on. Can you post a pic of the fj wheels on your triton. Keen to see how they look fitted up.
I found a website centricrings.com that has a huge variety of hub centric adapters that's only cost €20 so about $30 with free worldwide postage. Found a set of 106.1 to 67.1mm adapters on there so I'll order them and let you know how they go.

We have the same fetish.
I had 4 sets of tyres and 5 sets of rims at one stage trying to work out the best offset.

We have pretty well settled on +15.

I am down to 4 sets of rims and 2 sets of tyres :D

You mean these old things? Yeah they fit. No centric rings required but you need to use Toyota wheel nuts.
