MQ 4wd suspension

MQ 4wd suspension

Postby JaseM on Sun Jul 30, 2023 9:29 pm

Hi there,

Had some new 4wd suspension (front and rear) fitted on my MQ triton last week after inspecting my leaf springs.

Was looking back at the quotes provided by the company and noticed that the quote that we went ahead with differed from the one they supplied early in the year. The difference was that the earlier quote included upper control arms whereas the quote we went ahead with didn't.

Is this something that should have been fitted with the new suspension?

Not very technical minded when it comes to automotive suspension.

Cheers,
Jase

Depends on the extent of lift and how well the struts are engineered. With a normal 50mm lift new UCAs are not necessary.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Thanks the 5th,

Sorry should have mentioned it was a 2" lift, however the MQ is closer to 3" higher in the rear now.

Not unusual. Even the 300kg leaf packs will lift above the 50mm. They will settle in time and the extra carrying capacity comes in handy.
