Front suspension - recommendation?

Front suspension - recommendation?

Postby Fishermanaxe on Sat Mar 25, 2017 8:28 pm

Ok, so after fitting an Iron Man Bullbar I have had a 40mm drop in the front end. I'm actually quite happy with how the rear sits , but would like to return the front end to it original ride height ( maybe plus 10mm) . After reading some comments about suspension lifts using the original ride height as reference to the amount of lift...i.e: if I got a 30 mm lift kit it could end up being 70mm because of the 40mm drop from the bar- I'm a bit worried that if I drop that in the front end it would be too high.
So my question is: does anyone have any recommendations for a front shock and spring replacement combination that will return my front to original ( maybe plus a few mm) with the additional weight of the bar? Was hoping for something I can order as pre assembled strut so I can put it in myself.

cheers

Ultimate Suspension sorted out my saggy front end. They put your vehicle on a weigh bridge then recommend a spring /shock combo based on axle weight. They're based out of Sydney but seem to have a distributor in most state capitals. Worth a try?

Agreed. They're one of a very few who can tailor a system to what you want.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

My DMS fitted no issues. The small problem I had a few missing washers was Toll expressed to me in a few days.

L200shogun how did you go with the bottom mount on the wishbone mine messured up at 50mm and the struts crush tube was around 40mm meaning it was going to bend the mounts I had to space it out.
