75k Service on 2012 MN (4x4)

Postby Stealthmission on Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:22 am

Hi all,

So its time for my 2012 MN to have its 75k service done. The stealers are quoting $1650 which seems a lot. When I compare against other mechanics (online) they are all around the $450-500 mark.

Can anyone give me an idea of why there is such a discrepancy?
Are the dealers doing something additional that the others are not?
Perhaps the online quotes are not accurate....

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Cheers

I had mine done at the dealers a few months back and it set me back nearly $800. I thought that was expensive! Can you ring around and get a phone quote? May be more accurate?

So NRMA do it for $409 (non-member). I asked why there would be such a difference. The guy at NRMA said it is not a major service and might be that Mitsubishi would check the valves... meaning a heap more labour. He suggested this would really only be needed if the car was running poorly (which it is not!)

Have a read through that, it goes back to 2010 to the present but should give you a good indication of pricing, that took me 1 minute to find, also thread needs to be moved to the 4th generation servicing, your in the MQ section.
