GLX Dual Cab (stock as a rock). I'm only halfway through my first tank after 2 weeks (Its a race between rust and 100000km) :P Half a tank come up at 420km. I assume economy gets a little better with Ks under its belt. Coming from a 16 year old Falcon ute where you can see the needle being sucked down, I'd be happy with anything in the single digits.

Edit: Filled up this morning, 521Ks/46 litres = 8.8. Spent an hour trying to get out of a bog which has pushed it up a bit. For reference our Skoda, rated at 7.1, uses 7.5 for similar running around/hill climbing. Not bad. Anywhere in the 8s make this a very cheap ute to run (for me anyway!).

2nd fill... 828km for 65.5l = 7.9 per hundred. Very happy with that!

Any idea what sort of economy hit will you take for a bullbar and set of spotties? I'm assuming maybe 10%?

I wish the average wouldnt reset every night/every 4 hrs.
Stupid thing is you can put it into manual reset mode but the way this works is that it resets as soon as you cycle the ignition.
There is no way of having the trip computer give you a true average over the entire tank without resetting each night.

Thats what i thought too but when i read the owners manual, its doing exactly as stated in the manual.
In "A" mode it resets every 4 hrs, in "B" mode (which is the manual mode) it resets when you manually reset it or when you turn the ignition from off to on, therefore resetting each time you start the car.
Also when doing this it then reverts back to "A" mode.

Stupid design, when it goes in for its 1500 i will be asking the dealer about it.

Two fuel economy runs on MQ GLS These between Deer Park and Wendouree (Ballarat) . First run to Ballarat with 99.9 klms done gave me 8.7ltrs/100 klms . Second run back with 100.8 klms done returned 7.77 ltrs/100.
First run up was sitting on 95kph with 100kph indicated on speedo and no cruise.
Run back was 100kph by GPS and 106 indicated on speedo with cruise on.

G'day Pickle,

That's a no brainer as going to Ballarat is mostly up hill, and the return journey is the obvious downhill with results according.

True guide is the same speed set ups as you tested there and back but in one direction only.

Results though are very good from a 11.7 litres per 100kms that I get.

Just filled up today, 63.8L and 750km so that comes to 8.5L/100k assuming they actually gave me a full tank when I left the dealers and they didn't siphon it when I left it there for the 1.5k service.

I'm surprised it only filled 63L when its a 75L tank right? the "low fuel" warning popped up surprisingly early.

in my case yes it is, would have thought it would be around 5L as that's still plenty imo. guess I know how many more km i could get now before it dries up

I had about 80km in range when last I filled (took 65.5l), so seems best to believe the car when it says "time to fill up!". :P

I've put bigger tyres on mine... but it shouldn't effect it too much... 10% maybe. Still i am finding my economy to be horrible.
Reset the counter and jump on the highway, set the cruise to 110kph. It been getting approx 9.9L/100 on highway trips!
My long term average on the "B" counter is 12.9L/100 for mixed driving.
