Pre fuel filter with a dual battery system

Pre fuel filter with a dual battery system

Postby blackmagic on Tue Jul 11, 2017 10:54 am

G'day ,

I have a Mq 2016 triton with a dual battery under the bonnet (its a squeeze). Does any one know how to fit / have a pre filter under the bonnet when you have the dual battery system installed under the bonnet. Also can you put the pre filter on the other side of the engine bay to the factory filter ??

Was going to do same but decided to fit next to factory filter with the supplied bracket (as I'm now installing the second battery in the tub) and fit a Catch Can.
Take it your not going to fit the Catch Can on other side ? if not then maybe supplier of your filter can give you the Catch Can bracket instead (if suitable) to mount where this goes on the brake booster ?
Also, when I initially looked at doing...a couple of diesel joints suggested the fuel lines running across to this area be insulated - don't know if necessary ? but it does get hot there.
Good to see some pic's when you finish install ! Cheers
