I have a 24" LCD and I like the narrow ~1024pixel width. It is much easier for me to read posts as I don't have to move my head to read a line of text.......I don't like the tennis spectators viewing style needed on a forum that uses 100% screen width!

Thanks guys

Has anyone found that when opening threads that it auto scrolls to the bottom then you have to scroll back up again? The hilux guys are complaining about that... and I use the same code here, so I am not understanding.. haven't seen this issue myself yet... anyone?

Daryn, don't go using the logo yet, it's still a work-in-progress :)

I get the scrolling to the bottom mate...
IE 7 on Vista...

I think it is because the quick reply text box at the bottom of the thread gets focus, so the page scrolls so its visible...

Thanks smeg, I noticed it was the autofocus of the textbox, but why with the old theme (if you go back to it) that doesn't have a problem with it? no code difference from what I can see.... .doing my head in... if you have any idea, would really appreciate your ideas :)

The new theme is scrolling down because there is a cursor in the TEXTBOX, why, I have no idea. But I hope that is a clue.

Having a look mate... In Blue2 the textbox doesn't get focus but not sure why yet... just going through the javascript files now to see if I can spot it...

Dave... its after midnight here so I am a bit out of it... but I think the problem lies in the editor.js file...

Check out function initInsertions()... there is a difference between the themes...

The line:

Code: Select all
//Added by Quick Reply
var focar = window.in_quick_reply || false;

if(!focar)
{
   textarea.focus();
}

It seems that focar will always be false....

Anyway, I think that is causing the auto-focus in the 'newtriton' theme... but as I said, I am pretty tired so I could be wrong...

Let us know how you go...

Looks like you've done it... different file sizes in js files but the code for the quick reply mod looks identical??

Must do a diff
