Iam jamiecracker from the newhilux forums
i met some of you guys on the recent stockton trip i was the guy that got his black lux stuck first up
anyway my old man just bought a new glx/r in red and i thought i would cruise through this forum as well
I live in wollongong well really Bulli and run a commerical dive buisness with my old man
am married and i suppose thats about it :D

Sounds like your old man has his head screwed on.

It was great to see the report on Stockton and see the guys all pitching in digging and helping.

hehehehe well he really wanted a Landrover as he has always had them but when they are 20k more expensive it kinds of speaks for itself
drove it from dealers yesterday and found it had a bit of turbo lag as it is a manual but love the rear window and the interior finish

Welcome mate - if it's a dizzle and you're after pace, don't use first gear, stick it in second and use the torque.
1st gear is for towing ;)

1st works if you have bigger tyres fitted, mine launches in 1st gear. With stock tyres though 2nd is easy to take off from a standing start

yeah still with Georgiou mate, probably only about 4 weeks left here on site mostly on the dredging.

Is your dad going to mod his so its as big as yours?

no iam pretty sure he is going to keep it stock
he is having problems with it surging and pinging and some sort of whinning noise...and it isnt an engineer :D

Yes I know his problem. I get the same noise from my kids :lol:
