Soon to be a new owner

Postby trouble on Thu Jan 22, 2009 6:43 am

Hi all yes another newbie to the Triton community
House keeping: My name is Brad I live on the Central Coast of NSW with the missus 2 kids and a dog, my current 4by is a 01 Mits Challenger with a few bits, a good old battle truck just a bit heavy on the juice.

Just signed to take delivery of new 08 MY09 VR Dual Cab Triton, 3.2 DID manual whitein colour.
Included is a Sarfari Snorkel, colour coded canopy, Centre Diff lock and rubber mats all round. Very happy with the price and trade :D .

Future additions ARB front bar, Winch, 2" lift, rear drawers and Cooper ST's not in this order but will take what I can get as the funds are now quite LOW :(
Anyway hopefully I will see a few of you around here or out and about.

Welcome Brad, I love seeing what people use as their handles on the forum, curious to why you chose "trouble", it could determine your position in any convoys etc :), as you can see by mine I give no clues to any personality traits or manners :)

We're not in too much trouble, he didn't spell it with a capital "T"

Thanks for the welcome guys.

You can count me in for some trips, I am very keen to test the new rig. As for the name "trouble" I am always in it with the missus :o so just thought it was appropriate. Regarding convoys etc dont care where I travel as I have a heavy right foot if you know what I mean ;)

Cant wait to test the rig :D

Welcome aboard trouble. You've made a good choice on car. At least most of the guys on this site will agree.

Looking at your signature, some of these mods will be coming quite soon I'd imagine.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

Spargo at this stage there are 6 vehicles coming albeit from another forum (pathfinder club of Oz) [have a few friends with pathys]. Trip plan has roughly been set however not in concrete. We can not wait as I have been wanting to do this trip for a while now and now is coming true. I will endevour to post the trip and photos on my return and let everyone know how it went (it being the triton).

Greedy as for those mods at this stage just the drawers will be fitted and at a chance the tyres we will see ;) .

Just off topic I have heard that the factory canopies are rubbish which is not a good thing as I have ordered one any info would be great as to why they are rubbish :?

I would have thought a tyre upgrade would be necessary for that area

Well went to Mitsu yesterday and cancelled the order for the factory canopy and got it replaced it with a ARB colour coded canopy for no extra charge .
Very happy NOW. I spoke with the GM at Mitsu and he did not even question the exchange just said "yep can do that" "we will even fill the car up with diesel for you". I thought they did this any way but not complaining :)
