Hi guys

Hows it going AG9111? we're neighbours. Hows your triton going? you know any reliable mechanics around the area?
i'm using first choice mechanics at the moment as well as baileys group diesel who are pretty good, but a little further away. I need a gearbox expert I think.

Switched On mechanical in Helensburgh is pretty good.

He just did the clutch on mine.

can i ask how much it was for labour as well as clutch (together and separately)? I'm not sure if i have an issue with my gearbox or clutch. I hope its the clutch as I'd love a new heavy duty one.

I use PMC mechanical in Unanderra.
Close to my head office and Paul and his 2 mechanics really know there shit.
Diagnosed some wierd issues on the bosses disco and the work rodeo.
Try "Pro Axle" at Port Kembla for alignments. Give all the tyres guys a miss. They cant get it right.
No experience with gearbox issues. Sorry.

I paid just under $600 for a 4 Terrain clutch (mega special price) and $800 to get it fitted.

The fitting included flywheel machining, new transfer case oil and the installation of a new rear main seal (I supplied an OEM seal). The seal wasn't leaking, but while the box is out......

I'm just about to update the clutch review thread (probably on the weekend), with details on the mode of failure of the old unit, and the 1000km review on the 4 Terrain performance. Also some surprising info on the OEM clutch :shock:
