New owner (but not possessor)

Postby Bugsquash on Tue Nov 24, 2020 2:22 pm

Hey people !!! I am the new owner of a 2020 GLS model that I am waiting to get a delivery date for.

I thought I would get get to know the car I have only had a test drive in, by signing up here and soaking up the advice of you good people.

I am thinking that the first mod will be some rated recovery points because getting bogged is my thing. I've been driving a turbo diesel Zook (Grand Vitara) for 11 years and the renault diesel has given me waaaaay too much grief so I have pissed it off and here I am.

I chose the Triton based on a lot of YT channels i have watched and the fact we have a Lancer as a second car that hasn't let us down.

EDIT: Forgot to mention i'm from Brissie (Brisbane), Queensland, Australia

Hopefully I see you in the forums.

Welcome along.

Rated recovery points are the biggest wank in the whole four wheel driving world. Not one of them comes with a certification of the rating, tested on the vehicle. Yet the Triton, along with its big brother Pajero, comes with two tow points at the front, tested by Mitsubishi engineers in snatch recoveries. Search YT for video.

Getting bogged is also over-rated. All that mud is not fun to clean off and not good for the car anyway.

Most people start on the modification trail with bars, lights and tyres.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
