My job as a spray contractor requires me to tow a 8x5 tandum trailer carrying a 1000 ltr spray tank plus a twin reel quikspray unit with 200mtr of spray hose on each reel at present I drag this unit around the Vic Alps.total KGS 1700 - 1800 so if any boddy has some in put that would be great my present truck is a Nissan GQ 4.2 efi wagon (Time to go)

The truck will be supplyed with the following acc:
-ABS-Rear diff lock (Factory)
-Delux ARB Bar
-T-Max 9000 plb winch
-ARB Side rails
-ARB rear bar & tow hitch
-Dobbin lift kit
-Tub liner
-Tinted windows
-Black duck seat covers
-Big Horn tyres
-stichcombe gullwing box in tub (Purpose built)
-Driving lights

Welcome Wylie.

The decision on engine is straightforward. If you're towing then the diesel is by far the better choice. More torque, especially down low. Around town and on the highway there's not much difference.

My suggestion is that you consider going up to VR to get the Super Select gearbox. Having the option of constant 4WD could be a big advantage with what you're doing.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Go the diesel plenty of power and not to bad at the pump----i test drove the ford and holden
and the triton came up trumps --toyota were too dear and ya gotta pay for aircon --in this day and age aircon should be standard on all cars and you can get auto ----stuff changing gears you can put that left hand to better use

I second everyone on Diesel of course but also suggest considering VR like what 'fifth' as said

This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.
