Hello from Tassie

Postby tassie_ml on Sun Oct 04, 2009 3:54 pm

Hi,

This isnt my first post but I thought I may as well get started here. I have been a mad fanatic 4wder for over 20 years and have had my share of cruisers, a Paj, a Rodeo and even a Zuke  but now its family time so I need something more practical.

I have just bought a 07 GLX-R V6 auto in cyber blue...great colour might I add

Its a one owner, 32k on the clock and like new in every way. It came with some extras like roof bars, ladder rack, tint, bonnet and headlight proctectors, towbar, factory bull bar and Hella spots.

The intention is to use it for family camping holidays here in Tas and on mainland trips. Have a trip planned to the Flinders Ranges next year.

It will get some mods like canopy, all terrains, UHF, canvas seat covers, better mats, better spots maybe blitz's or IPF and maybe a small lift.

We took it to the shack this weekend and couldnt resist a short trip onto the beach, heres a pic

Like most you guys here, its no show pony, it will get used off road and not afraid to get it dirty

great forum and I look forward to contributing where I can.
Mark

That's a great part of the world that you live in there.
We toured around tassie last year in our Mitsubishi Delica for 6 weeks and loved it.
There is plenty to see there, so i've planned another trip, this time it will be with the Triton.

Hope you get plent of good use out of your triton.
Cheers Johno

thanks guys. I am a Qlder born and bred. Moved down here about 2 years ago and love it. Took quite a bit of getting used to in winter, but bought a few more jackets and as long as you can stay out of the wind, its all good.

Plus, theres heaps of bush tracks, camping spots and things to see down here.

Hey, Mongo, you dont need a passport anymore to get down here, they got rid of them last year :D

Hey Johno, let me know when your coming down, would be happy to show you around and get you into some great spots.....

thanks again
Mark

might have to catch up one of these days, I was just over in the canopy thread and saw yours. I like it alot, did the boys at TJM source that for you as well?

sorry for all the q's....still finding my way around on how and where to get the goodies for the Triton.
