A Patrol owner may be going back to his tuner.

Surprised myself and possibly the driver of the loud Y62 series Patrol when we took off at the lights in an 80 zone flowing into a 100 zone. The way this guy started off just set a challenge and the nearly 16yr old 3.2 opened up and stuck with the big 5.6 v8 up to the posted speed limit, where I let him roar off!

I must admit a mildly set chip does give the donk a "crisp" edge to stock.

A VGT would be icing on the cake.

  My favourite is the Toyota V8s.

When the challenge is issued the 4M41 beats them soundly. One guy had 3 goes before he pulled up at the next lights and just shook his head. Of course, I do have a VGT and chips.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

The hidden racer occasionally sneaks out.

Back in the early 90s I had a 1300 beetle as a toy. That would trump a Bogandore or From oulcan off the lights for the first 30-50m. The 1500 donk on 1300 gearbox did the trick.
