I use silicone spray in the tracks. It frees up the stuck windows, and then keeps them working smoothly. The latches on the factory canopy are a bit pi$$weak, so don't go pulling too hard on them if the tracks are sticky. (Currently working on some alloy latches).
Apart from that, my factory canopy is great.

A few questions if i may?
1) Has anyone built a steel/aluminium canopy for a GLX/R with a tub?
2) Would removing the steel tub and replacing it with a flat tray and building a canopy to go on that offer quite a bit more space than the tub/canopy?
3) Would i need to get an engineers certificate for either of those options?
I am planning a big driving trip to Tassie later this year to visit the old man and mum, and dad has a heap of tools and fab equipment we could build something like this pretty quickly.
mile90 wrote:Hey guys, new to the forum. Its probably already been discussed. I'm looking for a smooth Finnish canopy for my white 2014 mn dualcab. I was quoted $1800 + fitting from 3xm canopies . this would be a seconds though so I'm not to sure on the quality. Does this seem like a reasonable price ? It just has slide windows which doesn't really bother me. Or should I look at arb or tjm etc. Thanks !
