Snapped the dump pipe at the flange on the turbo, lost the clutch from the heat, then lost my towbar and horse trailer. Bloody rough roads.
No horses were badly hurt. ;)
All repaired now. 8-) Thanks to a bloke (Mark) in Coonabarabran who let me use his hoist and performed some fine magic.

The turbo squeal on overrun was bloody awful.

This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

yup. second time this has happened. Bloody lower mount fell off a wile back (again!), since I've not been under the truck as too busy, I never noticed and it shook to self destruction.

[censored] tow bar snapped all of the bolts.

Been onto the suplier and says not their problem as certified etc for the application. I'm telling you, the arb bar on the MN needs to be mounted better. Put a big arse horse float on and they squeak and fart etc. Not happy.

I have never lost a tow bar before. :?

also, found out the hard way my truck has no jack! :?

Tony.... Was it the oem tow bar?
Although mines a ML.... I came close to losing my van when we were on our trip to the national meet.
All the bolts kept coming loose... Even the ones with nyloc nuts.... But they wouldn't come loose as quick as the ones with just spring washers.

Lucky it was a 200kg empty box trailer and not his 2700kg horse float  :?

I think while i was kneeling in the mud putting a new towball on his truck for him, Dave muttered something about always thinking the trailer safety chains were a waste of time    Hopefully he has changed his mind now

Gibbo's truck would of stopped it running too far away back down the track anyway ;)

I didn't think there was any evidence of this... and yea i did say chains seem useless  cant say chains would've helped tony much  but like al said, glad it was only an empty box trailer and i didnt have horses in tow, couldn't imagine what went through your mind tony

Got my new CV in and filled the front diff with oil. It's still leaking though, so will keep topping up the oil until 60K service and get them to check it then.

See the build up of my old Triton here.
