Triton Nudge Bars

Is anyone aware if the newer model nudge bars ie. MN, MY etc will fit straight onto the front of an 2007 ML model Triton. Wanting to attach a UHF antenna and rod holders to it.

Regards

I gave my MN nudge bar away for a bottle of scotch to a work mate & he said it bolted straight on to his 2 wheel ML :D

Yes, they will fit ;) Same nudge bar. Other members have done it before ;)

FYI......MN is the current model............... MY simply stands for the Model Year ;) ie.yours is a MY07ML

I may have been led to believe that the MN nudgebar is a bit better for approach angle.. Maybe

Or geek could have been spinning crap.. Again

I've put an mn on my ml, works perfectly.

No use about the approach angles tho... Sounds a bit odd tho. Why make a new nudge bar with worse apprach angles after making the effort of making sure it fits standard?

For some unknown reason the MN nudge does give better approach :?

This was proven at a comparison day with 4wd action. My unlifted MN had a better approach than a 2" lifted ML :? :?

Go figure but true ;)

I can't remember which one it is but one of the two goes under the front bar more.

I guess it's the ML one if the MN has better approach angle.

So the nudge bars are the same but their mounting points are different......is that correct?

Oh right, if the mn has better approach angles... That makes sense if they changed it that way...

Same mounts, the nudge bar itself is different, right at the bottom where it curves around under the front bumper one extends further to the rear of the vehicle.

Does that make sense? :?

I think the better approach angle would simply be the barge arse on the MN weighing the back end down and subsequently lifting the front end slightly as a result. ;) Its the only explanation.........

Oh.......and the tiny motor in the MN wouldnt weigh as much as a big 3.2L

Triton Nudge Bars

I cut the bottom off mine so it terminated inline with the bottom of the front bar.

It lifted the approach angle and saved on damaging the bar.

There are differences between MN bars as well.

I inherited Jamo's after a mishap, and his bar has different spottie mounting tabs, which make installing spotties on the car without undoing the lower bolts impossible. The MY10 bar i had, had longer tabs, where as the MY10 bar Jamo gave me had shorter tabs.

The mounting brackets are all the same, as I have a set from a ML

ive sorta wanted to clear this up, might have something to do with mine being a 2009 build MN. i have noticed a few MNs with a different Air con control arrangement and i know i have a what is now a GLR grill Long chrome strips while other MN's have a Honeycomb 2 piece grill.

im not to sure.. maybe i put a ML back on i can have a perfect Hybrid

I'm buying a nudgebar from an ML GLXR to fit on my ML GLS
I would assume they have the same mounting points & clearances but after looking at this ebay add it has me wondering.

(BTW this isn't the bar i'm buying)

Can anyone clear this up for me? :?:

Pretty sure they're the same. Makes reference to vehicles with front bumper protectors. If u don't have those, it should fit.

They fit across the MN and ML gap. I fitted an MN GLX-R one to my ML GLS...

So does this mean a ML bull bar can be fitted to a MN? Has anyone done this or are they too different to bother?

It depends on the brand. The nose on the MN had a slightly different line under the grille to the ML. SEJ managed to fit an ML ARB bar onto an MN with a bit of careful grinding work on the back edge of the bar.

It might be worth the effort if you were scoring the ML bar at a really good discount price I guess.

Hi guys,

Just throwing this question out there, as I am selling my MN nudge bar on ebay and a potential bidder asked, whether it would fit a 2000 MK model.

Cheers
