If you whinge hard enough they have the ability to reflash backwards to an older version of the ECU rom. They'll probably try to tell you it then won't be covered if it overheats without the new protection built into the service campaign tune.

Both my 2015 Triton and the Mrs 2015 Ford Fiesta do it, although the Fiesta isn't as noticeable with the little motor.

The wife is always complaining about it being too long.

Well sounds like talking to mitsubishi might be a waste of time has anyone had any luck with dyno tuning it out while having a tune done?

I had my ecu flash tuned and 3inch exhaust fitted didn't change it. Then the bloke said he would play with it and managed to take some fuel out on decel and made a difference but I think it has made the turbo lag a little worse. Doing the EGR blank and delete soon after 30,000k service to hopefully fix the turbo lag.

I mentioned the over rev during gear change to the service center mechanic and he mentioned there was an ECU upgrade done as part of a collision control change that causes it. He said something about ensuring revs don't drop too quick. This might be an explanation or just wires crossed as it was only a brief conversation.

My MN never used to do it until recently, 2010. Very annoying. I re-fitted my DP chip to see if it made a difference and it didn't. Trying to work out why it's blowing bluish/white smoke under hard acceleration now, thinking it maybe turbo.
