Storage behind rear seat

Postby Lunny on Fri Mar 22, 2013 4:31 pm

Hi guys

There may already be a post for this, so direct me in the right direction if there is. But I want to see photos and ideas of what people have done behind your rear seats.

Need ideas for new car......

Cheers

GLXR has bugger all room for anything,i get a few jackets and my rifle in there thats about it.The models without the rear window have a heap of room and if you browse through peoples build pages you will see some great set ups, compressors, batteries, fuse boxes i have even seen a water bladder behind the seat.

Currently in the GLR I have air compressor, fire extinguisher, SCA bag of straps, SCA bag with fuses and spares and a snatch strap. There is still plenty of room for other odds and sods , one of few benefits of not having the GLXR window.

Yep it folds forward.
There is a little tag hanging out the top of the seat......you pull that and it releases the catch ;)
I guess you haven't had a flat tyre yet......your jack and stuff is there.

There is plenty of room behind the rear seat if you have a GLR. Took me alittle while to set it out, but I'm happy with it. I mounted a back board of ply and painted it black. Gives you something mount items from.

Yes i like that setup, i think i may keep recovery gear and tools in there as i don't need a battery system there. though i might manufacture a locking system so i can have my rifle hidden there.

Apart from the jack and handle I have a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, recovery kit, socket set and a couple of nylon ropes. It's a good place for a 2 piece rod and some basic fishing gear too.
It's a good thing I saw your stick figure family of 7. Your Tarago had me under the impression you were wild and single....
