ICKIS anthony and the team at dea are seriously a bloody good and helpful bunch of fellas. It's a pity our group buy with them got shut down coz they also have many other 4x4 accessories for sale too ;-) can't wait to get my 3 inch exhaust. And dea will be getting my business for sure ;-)

I fitted a cat later on and I found it actually sounds deeper now. Tempted to remove the rear muffler and see if it improves...

ok so this may sound stupid, but i would like to know if it will be ok to do this for 1 day so i can see if i like the noise/sound of a muffler delete system... At the moment i have a 3" system with muffler and if the picture below makes any sense you will see where i would like to unbolt it.. i have figure out a way to do it so the system will still be secure. Simply bolt it back together so the system doesn't line up

Hi triton 2011.... I dont see why that cant work.... or just remove the muffler and tail pipe altogether .... but I see why you are looking at this way - for ease of reconnection.

Just a side note... on your " boss triton " which is cool.. ;) . I thinks you have labelled the flex join as the cat.... the cat comes straight off the back of the turbo up high adjacent to the fire wall..... at least on my systems... factory and 3 inch

hey ICKIS, it will only be a temporary trial, just to see how loud it is going to be before i get the muffler cut out and a piece of straight pipe welded in... Also i just noticed the cat location and you are correct :)

Have been running the 3 inch system now for about 10 days..... it just feels like it is going better and better... better now than first time i drove it.....cant explain why as I didnt expect too much performance improvement.... maybe its letting the chip do its things and just breathing better...... money well spent ... and I have trouble parting with my $$$ :) :)

To be honest I have a dumb pipe on mine plumbed up to the stock system as the full 3" did absolutely sweet F all and it sounded crap. Stupid woooo sound every gear change I'm assuming from the turbo. Anyway got annoying so now I just have, as I said dump pipe and hi flow cat. Makes little to no difference.

Mine runs a 3" roo systems exhaust and chip. Both were on the ute when I bought it. Goes much better than my other MN with only a chip and sounds much deeper and throatier. I still have both and have compared them side by side.
The first MN with the Chip it chip is better of the mark. The new one goes better than a standard MN but really starts hauling at around the 2500rpm

Hi guys... just checking in.... Anthony at DEA did my system with a stainless dump pipe and hi flow stainless muffler for $700 delivered to the Gold Coast. Great price and now after a couple of months driving it.... would not go without it !! sounds really tuff under acceleration and no... i would not get one without the muffler. I think in cab noise would be too much, and it sounds great with the muffler when planting the right foot yet civilized when around town with the wife and kids. ( but the kids love the woosh and the exhaust note when taking off from the lights etc) so do I......
