Looks like a flexiglass sport. As for which vehicle it fits I couldn't say, but you would know if it fits by the dimensions given in the description?!

Thought of that, but don't have measuring devices easily at hand at the moment (sad I know...). After some more digging, I found it's not the right one. Almost seems like they've mixed the length vs width.

Just looking for some advice

I own a brown 2013 GLX-R but have put down a deposit on a 2015 grey GLX-R. The brown one has the genuine Mitsubishi colour-coded canopy. The grey one that I am getting just has the soft tonneau cover. I am going to sell the brown car but was wondering if removing the canopy, getting it resprayed ($500?) and using on the grey car would make sense. Or would I be able to get more (say, at least $2,000 more) for the brown car by including the canopy? Then with that extra money (and by not having to pay for the respray), I would just get a basic grey canopy for the new car.

Would buyers pay an extra $2,000 for the brown car with the canopy? In which case, I would include it. Or would they just look at the canopy as a nice accessory but wouldn't really factor it into their offer? In which case, I would keep it.

Thanks, everyone!

I think it would depend on the buyer of the brown one mate and if they wanted a canopy or not, possibly something you could negotiate at the sale if your selling private if you can wait untill this time it will make your decision of what to do with the grey one a lot easier!
why are you selling the brown one and how many ks and how much?

Even if the buyer wanted a canopy, you will not get an extra $2000 for the vehicle unless you are really really lucky.

As to why, it's a long story. Basically, I found the grey one at a very good price and it's an auto so the wife would be more comfortable driving it if she has to. Otherwise, I probably would have kept the brown one, which is a manual 2013 MY14 GLX-R with about 44,000 km.

Price-wise, I was going to ask $32 with the canopy or $30 without it. Reasonable? Perhaps somewhat high but I am in Canberra where there isn't much competition.

You should get $30 without to much hassle.
I just purchased a 2011 GLX-R, 71,000kms of a family friend for $18,000 (Canberra) And was offered $23k by my car yard mate. As he said he would easily flip it for 29-30kish.

I have heard of some shocking prices to the point that it is cheaper to replace the whole canopy than replacing the door.I am pretty sure that some of the dearer ones (ARB TJM)are way more reasonable for parts. Just putting it out there!!

I'm hunting canopies now and thats a question I never thought to ask but will certainly ask it. Cheers

I have a quote of $230 from ARB for the rear glass only. No struts and no handles and me the installer.
The handles fell inwards and the struts were still hanging. The rest of it is on the track into the Dig Tree near Innamincka.
Has anyone used perspex instead. Not worried about scratches, just dont want another shattering experience.

I'm looking at buying an EGR canopy from HSP Ute Lids in Melbourne. They come with free freight to any business address.y question is are they hard to install? They are a clamp on canopy and include a plug and play wiring harness.

I got an egr secondhand. I also have an ironman liner so to fit the canopy I got the ironman brackets, measured twice and drilled holes in the canopy rail to bolt it down. I pulled out the plug, bunged the hole and fitted my own light strip and external flood lights by chasing the cables up the rear window rail.
Very happy with it.

Luck of the draw I think mate. I had been looking on Gumtree to several months for the right colour and style. One came up eventually for $1200. Keep looking!

Try a few panel beaters. A mate of mine owns a big repair place and basically gave me a factory canopy. The insurance company approved a new one for his client, when it only had a hairline crack behind the cab. It was painted and fitted to my ute for $600 cash. Same thing with a bullbar- I decided to keep my nudge bar, sold the ironman bar for $800 and split the money with him. This happens pretty often, insurance companies paying for new stuff, so we've come to an arrangement for me to sell various bits and pieces and split the money.
