The hardest thing I reckon was firstly, trying to find some wiring that was already located in the canopy hatch, that we could tap into. Once we found that (blue & green wire not attached to anything), it was a matter of getting the wires thru to where the door latch is & the 10mm split conduit & wires down between the canopy/tub & the cabin, so we could run it up thru the hole in the floor...that was a real PITA.
Also, make sure when you're taking the rear door trim off to tap into the central locking slave wires (both blue), that you're real careful with the door trim plugs that hold it on. They're flimsy as all hell & break very easily....I think I managed to break about 4 of them.
The only other thing that will be a PITA, is mounting the bracket of the actuator to the door locking latch...took a bit of coaxing but managed to get it done.
Things you will need if you're gonna attempt it Snowy are:
A multimeter
Wire (10A is fine - I used blue & green as I knew the wires on the actuator were the same colour)
Wire connectors & joiners ( red ones are best )
Wire strippers & crimpers
5mm split conduit
Cable ties
A small nut & bolt for the bracket of the actuator
Screwdrivers - Phillips & Flat
Electrical tape
Small blade - a safety blade will do the trick...I used a knife!
Lots of patience!
Anything else smeghead??
