Anyone fitted an SJS canopy recently? I've read all the comments in this thread and some sheds but all the comments are from around 2011.

Ive lined up a genuine mitsi canopy to swap with my hardcover, but there is a few catches, rear window is broken, the side windows slide instead of flip up, and its silver... and my ute is black. I did a search but didnt find anything conclusive in regards to cost of replacing the rear window and if its possible to swap the side windows out for flip up ones.

Anyone want to swap a silver canopy for a black one?

Had a Bluey's Alpha canopy fitted to GLS MQ. Cost just over $3000 but it's a good fit with remote locking side and rear lift up windows. Carpet lined inside, high-mount stop light and fold sown front window for cleaning. Has roof bars as standard (can be removed). Very happy with it and makes a big difference to the storage that we had with the hard lid (waste of time and money). Only problem I have is a slight mismatch in colour (sterling silver).

Have fitted a Alu-Cab Canopy. It has of course a colour difference and not as visually pleasing as fiberglass. BUT it makes up heaps in practicality and weight saving. Because it is Ali I can drill and mount anything to anywhere. Will never use fiberglass again.

How much was it dare I ask? Cheaper or more expensive than fibreglass?

Now that really is nice. Can we see some more pics with the doors open?

It's a Bull Motor bodies Metro canopy, Full Alloy with undertray drawer, underslung hand wash station, fully central locked off the factory key with door open alarms on each door, and obviously colour coded which is a perfect match, just a tad under 12k, but in saying that its a once off investment as I can take it with me to my next ute, just get the new vehicle specific mounts and a re colour code, ill take some pictures of the doors open at some stage.......DOH! I just realised that I'm posting in the 05-15 thread whoops, still realevent though, as this will fit on earlier models.

Went and got my new CME canopy from Caddy Storage in Perth fitted last week....turns out the factory sent "Gunmetal Grey" instead of "Charcoal Grey" despite the paperwork stating the right paint code.

Bit frustrated, but the nice guys at Caddy fitted it up anyway and told me I can use this one while they get the correct one in which will take a few weeks. Very happy with the customer service despite the obvious paint issue.

Must say, it's incredibly well-built, and cost $3,300 fitted which I didn't think was too bad really. Comes with an interior light, rear brake light, full carpet lining, roof racks with universal track mount and can hold 100kgs without any extra support.

Can anyone give me any ideas, I have a standard sport canopy on my 2013 glxr but when it rains it runs around the glass window on the back were the gas struts are which is fine but were it meets the tailgate the internal carpet seems to soak up the water and trip into the tub, Ive nipped the carpet were it touches the tailgate in the corner thinking it must just slowly soak up the water then drip down the tub liner, but it doesn't seem to have stooped it. its only about a quarter of a cup in three days of rain but enough to be annoying.

http://www.caddystorage.com.au/

Just received a quote from here for the CME-W and the GSE-L.

The CME-W is $3,245 and the GSE-L is $2,930. Not a bad price IMO. I think i would rather the CME-W due to the raised roof line

We can get my son's unit on and off with two guys. Screwed on at four points so not much time involved.

Regardless how a canopy is mounted, it could always be rigged with quick release catches.

spencekiwi - Mine stays on as the car stays permanently set up but they are not difficult to remove. I have a high ceiling in the garage with a Thule multi-lift with which I can lift the canopy off the tub: http://www.thule.com.au/details.php?p_id=253

Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can find the internal bracing for a Flexi Sport canopy online for a reasonable price?

Been quoted $800 locally and I haven't had any luck googling it (unless I'm looking for the wrong thing)

thanks

Are you planning on using the factory rails?

I got a local welder to build me a rack for my flexisport, which picks up the holes used by the factory rails... also got him to make me up some internal bars that bolt into the tub.

Hey mate,

I didn't get them installed when I got the canopy. They would have otherwise had to patch up the holes etc.

I have them in the shed and can use if needed. You think custom is the way to go?

What's the max weight you can carry?

thank mate,

Unsure of the max capacity but I can stand up on it and i'm about 80kg. Normally only carries camping gear though... maybe <50kg

So yours has no holes through it hey? Didn't know that was an option :-|

Hi guys, I'm going for the caddy conopy brand and have a Qs. Are they waterproof? Does water go inside when it rains? Is it sealed when they fit it?

Thank you!
