Vacuum Source For Vac Solenoids

Postby shaunv8 on Sat Jun 29, 2019 3:40 pm

Hi All,

07 ML, Auto. Petrol Im having the green light flickering while in 2wd. I have looked online and today I took a look at vac solenoids. I do not seem to have any vacuum going to them. I can only see one hose which would supply vacuum, which has about a 20cm rubber hose with a check valve??? in it, then turns into a steel hose along the firewall to some sort of a valve on top passenger side of intake manifold. Can anyone tell me if this is it, or if not WHERE the vacuum source is? Thanks

It's a petrol motor. The vacuum source is the intake manifold.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Unfortunately the online manual is only for the diesels and my copy of the manual only runs on Windows XP - which I only have in a virtual machine these days and haven't installed the manual anyway. So can't give you any drawings.

It should be fairly obvious - there will be a connection on the manifold which will fit a vacuum hose.

Edit: Oh look, I found a picture.

I have vacc to solenoid but don't have power going to them. Does anyone know where they receive their power source from?

Russcrothers, please don't cross post.

This thread is about vacuum source for the V6. Please carry on discussion about your problem in your thread.
