High Flow Turbo

Just wondering if anyone has had the stock turbo on the MN Triton high-flowed? If so, were you happy with the result? Was it worth it?

I've been thinking about this as well, would love to know if there are any major improvements.

I ended up purchasing a Hi Flow turbo. It's going in with a few other mods.

Will keep you posted on the results.

Wasn't happy with result of this particular high-flowed turbo.

I'm going to use the high-flowed turbo as a part of a compound turbo set up for the triton.

Injectors, custom front mount, tune, custom air box and snorkel plus some other stuff.

Should be done in a few weeks.

Are you planning to rally or race your ride?

Is the drivetrain going to survive the upgrade?

No plans to rally or race.

Tow car and some 4wd'ing is all I'm planning on doing.

I think there are two Tritons in Oz running a compound turbo setup and haven't had any major issues.

From all my research the only issue I think I'll have is the gear box.

What was wrong with the hi-flow turbo set, not enough power or spooling to late? for low rpm power.
Im considering getting the standard VT16 turbo rebored with a larger billet compressor wheel.

Was only a slightly bigger compressor wheel fitted to the vt16 turbo. Had I done my research better I would have high-flowed mine through another company.

There are a handful of tritons that I know of making some really impressive figures utilising a high-flowed turbo and supporting mods.

Anyone know if i fit a hiflow turbo and drive it to the tuners on the standard map am i gonna screw the engine with the A/F mixture being out or will it just thro a code and go to limp home mode.
