Is there any value in upgrading the dump pipe on a stock Mn with a stock exhaust? I've read it can be a cheap upgrade with some benefits on turbo spooling and EGTs.
I have a SS cat delete turbo dump and it seems to have little improvement performance wise but I do get a louder turbo sound. I also have a EGR plate (best), hotdog rear muffler (2nd best) and a Unifilter (more noise). All three work together but only having the dump may not be worth it.
I like my beer...especially when I am drier than a nun's nasty.
You'd think any manufacturer designing a turbo based power train would have considered sizing the exhaust to allow for proper flow to allow the turbo to operate correctly.
If you want to go beyond the standard setup then larger exhaust is more likely required because you're feeding more air and fuel in.
