Centre Console

So I must be losing it. I got in my MY 2015 MN last night and looked down at the gear select part of the console and for the life of me cant remember if it ever lit up the auto select letters on the console. It looked unusually dark down there. Are they lit at night when you have the lights on? Getting old sucks. Thx
