Mn triton oil selection

Postby miloandannie on Fri Oct 23, 2020 5:56 pm

I have a 2013 mn triton diesel and am now servicing it myself but can't dig through the minefield of oils at supercheap.
I tow a van and 4wd often but no clutch burning chassis bending stuff, so a 5w40 oil is what I decided would work best. I thought this would need to be full synthetic but penrite recommended a semi synthetic, castrol lists 2 full synthetics, one diesel dx 5w40 and one that suits petrol and light diesel at half the price on sale. Please help. I have searched but can't find a definitive answer. Thanks
If it ain't broke, pull it apart to see how it works?

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
