ML Triton Check Engine Unknown Fault Code

Hey guys,

Just had the engine light come on in my 07 ML 3.2 Diesel, starts ok, no loss of power or performance. I have plugged in a cheap scan tool and getting codes module $07e8 , $
07e9? And have erased them multiple times. But continues to pop back up after 5 minutes of driving.

Only thing I’ve done is run a some injector cleaner through over the last week.

Any ideas would be great, cheers.

Check you maf or map sensor.

Try using a better scan tool. Sometimes these codes mean no more than that the system has been polled for codes.

Thanks NowForThe5th, did the trick, used a more expensive one and was able to read an EGR fault code.
