Deefa i'm using 7 mate, i just used the browse button for photo in edit your shed.
Click on your photo, it will show a preview on the right side of page, right click on the preview and
select edit than resize [ it should open paint] i just use percentage, drop it to maybe 25 % depending on your start size of your photo then use save as , rename it with a 1 after the it so u leave the Original photo untouched .
Once saved run mouse over new resized photo it should tell u its new size (125k or under u need) if it is, select open and save bottom of shed edit page.
If still 2 big resize again (if using resized photo u might over have take 5 -10% off this time)
All done. :D

It works for me
Cheers Outs

Hi,

If I use an URL for a pic, say this:

http://www.monsterlights.com.au/lights/ml3/ML3%20stealth.jpg

And want to resize it in my post. Is there a way to do that?

The only way I can think of to do that would be to copy the photo, resize it and add it to an image hosting account (photobucket etc)

then you can go from this:

to this (or any size you require)

Am I right in coming to the conclusion that there is no ability just to attached and download a low res image to a thread? Other forums have an attach image option at the bottom of the thread. This permanently attaches the image and not just a link to Photobucket (like you can do in your shed) There's nothing more annyoying than finding a thread you like and not being able to see the images because the posters photobucket (or other external host) account has expired or been deleted or something else (I have come across it a fair bit in earlier posts on this site already)

Or have I got it all wrong??

You can upload images direct via Tapatalk BUT they are not permanently saved so after x amount of time will be removed.

Platinum members can upload direct if viewing via a web browser - these are the images you sometimes see with scroll bars bottom and right.

To edit avatar:
User control panel

profile

edit avatar

(take note, think its 150x150 pixels max and 98kb size max)

To change shed pictures:
To change shed pictures ensure picture is in .jpg format and under 125kb in file size or they won't save...

Hey guys, just to clarify a few things as I hope to be uploading my first photo in the next few days- 1) As a platinum subscriber, is the ability to upload photos done via the attach file tab at the bottom of the reply window???? and 2) Do I still need photobucket to be able to do this???
Sincerely,

1- yes

2- uploads straight from pc. I still prefer to use photobucket as can put as many pics as you like in the post. Pretty sure the upload limit is 3 but would have to double check.

Attach file is easy enough but if you put a big image you end up with the scroll bars on it at right and bottom as opposed to photobucket (or flickr or dropbox) where you click and get full image. Easiest if you re-size to start with as suggested elsewhere in this thread.

Anyone out there can help me on how to pics on here using my Samsung Tab, have tried photobucket and dropbox without success. On my PC I was able to right click on an image and go from there but its dead now and I'm rather dumb when it comes to this stuff.
