I can't believe what they're asking for it compared to what some people have been listing as their purchase price!

Like it or not that's 2nd hand, they'd tell you the same!

Don't like the rear bar on it much.........

And yeah, you're dead right Aust - mind you, it means they hold their value well, which is also being shown here in the few second hand ones that are for sale......
Not that any Lux owners would believe that though......
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

I have a feeling this ad for Zupps Mitsu up here in SE QLD is wrong..

Advertised are brand new, GLS DiD Tritons for $37k + ORC, normally this vehicle is $50k + ORC...

Is there some fineprint I'm missing???

I'm calling them tomorrow, as my bro in law was looking at leasing a VR, now he'll go for the GLS if this deal is included for private leased vehicles..

I'm spewing though, my leased GLS was bought from Zupps in June last year and it was 53k!!! There goes resale..

looks like they may be getting rid of old stock, Mitsu website has the GLS only available in Auto transmission, when I bought our it was only out in Manual, and the ones in the ad are also Manual...

Mantis,
Don't know who your lease is with BUT some companies will NOT let you novate a vehicle thats over 3months old.

It would be pretty trick to pick up a GLS for the right price though.

Sucks to be you, glad I bought a 3.2 :o

Its gotta be bullshit...there is no way they would sell a GLS for that money! Maybe a GLX-R or VR...as there is ads on TV for the GLX-R petrol for $36990 plus ORC...

A new DiD GLS for what would be $40k on the road, that is a good starting point for doing a deal.

It makes sense, old 2007 stock in unwanted colours with a new model iminent, and most luxury end buyers want auto.

My congratulations to the lucky buyer of those GLS's, Mitsubishi are taking the first $10k of depreciation for you. 8-)

The reality is, a GLS cost Mitsubishi Australia feck all extra to land in Australia than it does a base model GLX.

Clever marketing makes us pay extra for the VR, GLX R and GLS.

But I do love my leather seats, sun roof and climate control in my GLS.

So,
Some one has been telling furfies, as from this topic I see some of you have payed a lot more for your Triton than I payed for my Hilux SR5 including accesories, And yes $4 k is alot more for a Triton. Now that the truth is out thier what have we got to say.

Stop the "hilux are so expensive" Stuff and share all our mods and experiances so we can all have a good time in this great country that we all intend on exploring.

And I see the resale has just gone out the door.

Regards,
Camwill69 / Happy Hilux Owner.

Ps, Both great trucks.

GLXR Triton is a direct comparison to SR5 Hilux, Toyota don't even have a Hilux in their lineup that is in direct competition with the GLS..

Oh and the GLXR Tri is still heaps cheaper than a dual cab SR5..

At the end of the day the Hilux is still a way overpriced excuse for a chock.. 8-)
