Idle Speed

Postby Eelesy on Sat May 17, 2008 6:11 am

The service manual states the idle should be 700rpm +/- 100

i recently had mine in the shop to have the ecu reflashed for injector noise and also the other hotline fix, Suction control valve sticking affecting fuel pressure. which they had to order the part for.

when i got it back the idle speed is around 950rpm???

also after the reflash the 'flat spot' in first around the 1800/2000rpm area seems to be worse? has anyone else experienced this?

Ditto. Mine now idles at 600rpm, & sounds happy at that.
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

I am away so I cant get to a stealer but when I get home i will be getting close to slapping them in regards to the reflash.
