nice to hear they're still going well mate! Looking forward to hearing how the Triton fairs with clocking up some bush k's..MickFodor wrote:G'day All,
Apologies for my lack of presence, just flat out in here unfortunately.
Big shake ups for the boys out there doing the driving which has slowed their work flow down temporarily. All is well with both vehicles. Triton is still based local primarily but has had occasional trips out west. Currently gearing up for a big influx of work where both Triton and Hilux are going to be flogged thoroughly in the bush. Both sitting on just under 100,000 ks and performing well.
Both received a VMS in dash GPS and they are great.. a little effort to install but easy enough with a few beers.
Quick notes:
Hilux uses more fuel, difference of about 1 litre per hundred based on same driver and usage.
Hilux servicing is consistently cheaper, both at ultratune with a great relationship with them. Apparently the parts for the Hilux are just cheaper.
Triton has more comfortable ride (suspension), Hilux has more comfortable seat and nicer steering.
Driver of the Hilux misses the traction control from the Triton and said that offroad it was better. Its amazing what a reasonably stock vehicle with a set of all terrains can actually get through.
I still struggle to see why the 10k difference in price and i don't think i would do it again.
New Triton coming out too?? Any good?
Cheers all.
