Batteries are a'holes, they always, I mean always die in the week before you trade in a vehicle.

Does the new battery look the same as the old one? Give it a good fry before you trade and swap it back if it can hold a bit of charge.

At 203,000km I have finally fitted a catch can. Also ripped the intercooler off and gave it a bath. Had to cut the hoses off though as they were stuck, fortunately I had a Forefront Industries replacement piping kit on standby. I don't do bling for the sake of it but the polished intake pipes look so much better than the original hoses. Intercooler fins have had a hard life so I guess that will be up for replacement soon.

Also ran a power cable from the battery to an anderson plug out the back to keep juice flowing to the new caravan which now has 300 Ah of deep cycle goodness.. Can't wait to drag that around behind the ute!

Oh yeah, and a set of 7" kings led spotties went on a few weeks ago, very impressed with those!

Installed a Runva 11XP winch, Stainless bash plates and rated recovery points. Those rated recovery points are a PITA especially when you own a auto. I have removed a fair bit of skin from my hands !

In 2 weeks get TJM Pro-lockers front and rear plus quad breathers fitted :D

Finally found the source of the squeaking springs!

The second, from the front, rebound guide on both springs is slightly rotated and rubbing on the leaves, been driving me insane. A shot of WD provided some relief until I can carry out a permanent solution.

Also saw 222333 turn over on the odometer.

Update - Lockers have been on order for over 4 weeks now. Drop past last Thursday to see the good folk at TJM to see if all parts have arrived, yep no problem all parts are in or so they said. Dropped of this morning to TJM and told me the carrier bearings have not arrived, Apparently Mitsi & TJM don't have any and they are trying to source elsewhere.

Not today but on the weekend, installed a aluminium flat pack tray (common trade brand). Bloody thing came with no instructions and a whole lot of nuts bolts spacers and brackets. So what shouldve been a few hour job turned into 2 days and a carton of rum cans :D

Yesterday, finally found a very annoying rattle, thought it was coming from my boost gauge in the pillar pod (it sounded very similar to a noisy boost gauge), nope, the steering wheel adjuster had worked its way loose.
I was very close to pulling the pillar pod and gauges out it was that annoying

Looks good ozguy.

Is that an oil pressure sensor or equiv. that you used as the pressure switch?

Thanks.

12v Air Pressure sensor. Turns the pump off at 100psi and back on when it drops below 70. Just means the compressor only runs when it's connected to something.

Got a few small leaks in the fittings to sort out but works well.

Hey buddy, With the seat back its fairly loud but muffled. I've got it piped through to the rear step and only use it for tyres etc so noise doesn't really concern me.

Finally got to do oil change on son's mn - oil was just black goop.

Then a transmission fluid change/flush. What a bugger of a mission, purging the system and getting the correct fluid level.

Unit sounds much better now. :)
