Biglorryblog learns that Mitsubishi Motors is bringing back that ‘perennial-favourite’ the popular L200 Trojan Double Cab to add to the current L200 line-up. The 12MY Trojan, which goes on sale today, is available from any of the 113 Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide. And as well as being competitively priced the Trojan offers a great combination of specification, striking good looks and excellent value for money.

The L200 12MY Trojan features the following high level of equipment as standard:

16” Alloy Wheels
Rear Diff Lock
Super Select 4WD
CD Player with MP3Multifunction Trip Computer
Climate Control
Rear Electric Windows
Chrome Electric Door Mirrors with Heater / Folding Function
Colour Coded Wheel Arch Extensions
Privacy Glass
Chrome Outer Door Handles
CAT 1 Alarm System

Moreover, it returns with 30% more power from 136bhp to 175bhp and 27% more torque from 314Nm to 400Nm. In addition, the Trojan’s diesel engine is Euro-5 compliant..

The 12MY L200 Trojan will be available in two colours; Aztec Red (Solid) and Cosmos Black (Pearlescent)—then L200 2.5 DI-D Trojan Double Cab Manual is priced at £17,999 CVLP, the L200 2.5 DI-D Trojan Double Cab Manual (Leather) at £19,324 CVLP. Metallic paint will cost an additional £410 excluding VAT

The vehicle has a 12-month / 9,000 mile service interval programme, includes pan-European breakdown and accident management service. The Mitsubishi Service Plan (MSP) is available at £562.50 Excluding VAT. Aimed at supporting the UK’s recovering building, plumbing, electrician and agricultural markets Mitsubishi says its L200 Trojan “Really is a great choice for business users who demand rugged style, versatility and performance.” .

It's a standard model in some countries.
It's got the challenger (as we call it in Australia) front or as its called in some countries a "sports wagon" front.
It's fascinating how the same vehicle varies from country to country.

That's a special edition that UK dealers where doing discount on to clear out the last L200's with a curved bed. All the new ones now have the longer straight edge load bed.

 Don't know what took them so long, the petrol will mean a lot more sales and a lot more V6 owners here

Why they don't put the 3.8 V6 in the Triton is uncomprehensible

Looks like they have just ditched the design changes and gone back to the ml tray.
I doubt (m)any of these changes would make it too Australia - smaller tray would go over like a lead balloon (despite the MN's fugliness) and they won't bring back the v6 because it has no place in the 4wd market unless you own a petrol station!

 they also don't stop and surge and limp etc all the time...have a look at the topics on here..it's a diesel problem forum...as are all the common rail 4wd forums :P
