Others posted in response last night to your other mentions of this to suggest possible torque converter problems.

I have a vibration at 115km (on the GPS rather than the speedo) but no problem changing gears and mine is the 5 spd not the 4. I changed tyres, rims, brakes and my whole suspension. I also got multiple wheel alignments and balances and had the ECU reflashed. I had a mechanic drive it on the freeway with logging software on the engine to rule out any mechanical issues there. Still no solution found.

Actually I see that yours keeps getting worse as you get quicker which is different to mine - mine disappears at higher speeds, say after 120 (not that I do that speed often enough to keep track of the precise cut off point).

Where are you located? We might be able to point you to a more effective dealer?

I was told many years ago that if a shudder come in than goes it is the front and if it gets worse as you go faster it is the back.

To me you problem CD sounds like a harmonic issue, you maybe exciting a natural frequency within the vehicle. If you change the speed it goes away, the other is to add weight to the affected area.

G`day guys
Had a similar problem years ago which was unable to be solved under warranty and was only solved when a friend of mine who worked as a transmission specialist with the Mclaren F1 team got to check my vehicle out .It turned out to be tight U Joints. The tailshaft had been balanced but as shafts are balanced in a completely strait form the balance was perfect. But when in the vehicle the U Joints are at an angle and being tight this caused the vibration. All we did was to free the U Joints up so that as you rolled the shaft the nose and the rear flange fell freely and did not bind rebalanced the shaft and no more problem.

Tight uni joint would cause a vibration throughout the rev range.

Sorry mate but it only occurred in 4 gear over 80 ks per hour took 18 months and numerous warranty claims before we found the problem
