I suppose that having buried it there was no risk of them working out that he'd done it by investigating the wreckage or whatever. His mistake seems to have been that he must have told someone about it. One thing that seems common with a lot of crims is that sooner or later they feel the need to brag about their exploits and it undoes a lot of them. Loyalties can change and someone you trust today could easily turn on you tomorrow.

I like cars to much to do it, same story with torching them I just couldnt bring myself to kill it

I know a bloke who torched his car but to remove the suspision he took a turd in the back seat. Reported it stolen and then they found the car burnt out with some nice smelling business in it and he got it paid out. They thought someone else stole it.

Right now there's a triton owner sitting at an insurer somewhere saying 'hey Bob, remember that case with the turd in the back seat? Well come and have a look at this...' :o :shock: :lol:

Not sure i understand how leaving a deposit in the back seat with your own DNA removes the suspicion!
