I reckon they look tuff!!! And would look the part on my ute i reckon!

The bi-xenon lights (as in the photo of the blue triton) would cost around 5 times the price of the halogen lights!!!! (based on pricing from Mitsubishi France accessories pdf)

They also require as part of the ADR's to have a headlight washer (aka the ugly thing below the lights)

Looks like a head light washer? Those headlight clusters are exactly what I'm looking for, proper projector HID units. mmmm. One bulb for high and one for low....
400 USD, yes please.

Just read the ADR rules (for those who care!), HID lights have to be self leveling and have to have those washer units on at least the high beam side. So sticking HID lights in stock light clusters will never pass. Even paying for the projector clusters won't pass, unless they are self leveling (automatic) and come with the usless squirty bits shown. Even the manual leveling from the drivers seat is not compliant unless you have halogens installed.

Looks like Mitsa is heading in the right direction, but its hardly a trd competitor, maybe more useful but. With there super select system also.

I just wish they(and toyota) would throw these gutless td 4 bangers in the shit bin and put in a 180kw 550nm v6 td, damn i might even buy one then!

Agree Stu-k. I saw a 6.5 L V8 land cruiser in the car park the other day, what must that be like?

When more power and torque are acheived via a chipset like this what happens to fuel economy? Engine life?
Is the power "locked on" or can it be selected via a button? If not why not?

Hi Guys new here
From NZ

I no its an old post however thought better to continue old thread then start a new one.
I just brought a 07 xls auto and just figured out its a limited edition model in Nz, when i found some badges
that had come off in drivers door 8-) (nice surprise)
After some searching have found this https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=t&sourc ... -7DxnE_DHQ
Question is would all that be done to get those figures is a tune? factory ecu remap or chip?

You should get substantially more than that with either a decent chip or an ECU tune.

Thanks for replying.
What i am getting at is would mitsubishi NZ have just tuned it to get 132kw and 420nm, from standard 118kw 352nm
or would there be other upgrades e.g exhaust
Just looking at options for more power and wont go down the ecu tune route if its already been done.
