No Platoon or Cyber.

Very well spec'd car though. I wonder what the GLXR is worth? If Mits keeps the pricing close to '09 variants, it will be a big ask for the rolux to compete, even with the 2.5.

One of my Hilux mates just ordered a runout Triton because nothing could compete on value for money - and I don't think he is Robinson Crusoe.

Revhead,

Can I suggest that if you are going to go off road not to get the MMAL Tow bar, it sits way to low and if there is more over hang it will be hitting on everything, look at the aftermarket bars like ARB etc which give much better departure angles.

X2 on that one mate. I paid extra for the Mits one and am now going to dump it and pay extra again for an ARB one.

But when it goes up on Ebay for a ridiculous amount you aren't allowed to post it up and do the "tell him he's dreaming" thing :geek:

If all the tow bars are the same and fit the cab chassis too, I'm in the market for one in WA.
Mainly to get some more traction but it would be useful for towing too.

I was just looking at the low towbar height thread and it seems they are different. The GLX has a higher bar and there needs to be mods to the GLXR to fit the GLX bar to it.

So I'm thinking it may be different to the cab chassis?

OK thanks mate, don't know where I got the confusion from....maybe VR to GLXR? Maybe just constant state of confusion

When you get a chance can you post a pic please mate. I had the ARB bar already locked away as the next mod after the sliders, but wouldn't mind saving some money.

I did the same and think you're right Homer.
The tub bar must be made lower to miss the bodywork so it might fit the cab chassis but look a bit weird, shaped to avoid something that isn't there. Not that departure angles worry me.

Do you think it will be possible to get the 'Mitsubishi Multimedia Communication System' installed an ML. Or even the steering wheel with audio controls?

Just curious... :)

Damn, that's pricey. I suppose when you compare it to what's on the market (Pieoneer etc) it's about the average price. Hmm I think I'd be better off getting an aftermarket unit though...

Do you know if it desplays any of the information that the stardard unit does (fuel economy, temp, etc)? No matter how useless it was ;)

Edit: Just a quick thought, if that includes the new steering wheel also, it's not so bad...

on my glx the lowest point on the towbar sits 380 off the ground(150kg of shit in the back) and the mounting plate that bolts to the chassic is 195mm( top to bottom) side on elevation
hope this helps to sort out your dramas if anyone else can pull thier tape out :?

I think the only mod is to throw the mitsubishi step in the bin. My 08 VR (without rear step) was delivered with the glx-r tow bar suited for the rear step. I had it swapped at the first 1500km check for the glx no rear step tow bar. Massive difference. Pics in my shed of the difference.
Cheers

What I would like to know, is the chassis on the mm the same as the ml (duel cab), if so I could bolt on a mm tub, can anyone confirm? I have not yet fitted a towbar on my new glx, in case I can fit the new mm tub, and hence would also need the mm towbar.

Thanks Sam. The only issue I have is no rear bar for a bit of protection?

Vroom i would think the chassie woulb be longer if the body is 180mm longer there would be no strenth at the rear of the tray and nothing for the tow bar to mount to ???

Hi Guys,
To answer the question of the dual cab chassis is not different. Exactly the same. PM leave an email and I will send a power point file as I cant get pics up. Basically the tub is 55ml taller and 180 mm longer. Thats it! So I would say that its the same.
