Well she copped a flogging today, had to get snatched six times but in stock form it is totally understandable considering what we went through. .
The 2.5 is a gem. I'm not really a deisel fan but I am shining to this one. It is just an effortless motor. It never feels like it is working hard. Still a few days to go yet so judgement reserved.

Thanks for the feedback and pics on the other forum.
I'll be interested in the fuel economy after fanging it around the back roads and getting bogged several times. Not surprised with the 205's though!

Yeah after today am spot on half a tank. Probably get another day out of it before refeuling.
Although it only has 400 odd klms on it it is still only being run in. So fuel economy will improve!

If it's reading the same as my GLX when it hits exactly 1/2 a tank it's used about 32L. If that one's the same then over 400km is sub 8L/100km. I'm jealous, not just trying out the 2.5HP but doing it in Tassie, great place.

Yes good reading mate. Can you give us a bump when you update your Pajero site?

Car is going well on those tiny little tyres. How are you finding the std suspension for general driving compared to the ML standard wallowers?

Also could you do a power steering test for us? Just hold in first until over say 2000 rpms and then try witches hat type swerves. See if it locks on you?
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

Gday Homer.
Standard tyres are good on road, though you tend to hear a bit of noise from them. Probably more noise than the motor. Standard suspension is good on road, get it offroad and you certainly know it's a ute. Already done the power steering test whilst checking on the Active Stability Control on a few dirt roads. Doesn't appear to be a problem there.

Actually I didn't mind them Rick. Red backgroud lighting at night makes the dash look pretty good. Could do with some logo's (Triton) etc on the face plates to make it look a bit busier.
