Interesting read ... Joe - invite them over to your BBQ :)

Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi has sent a delegation of three of its most senior staff – the chief designer, engineer and product planner of the new Triton – to Australia to gather information that will help shape the next model due in three years.

These guys are just showing that they now squat about the market. If they were really serious they would be on this forum and others like it. Seriously, there are nearly 5000 member on here. Surely that's got to count for something.

And they are all more than welcome to come to the BBQ. I'll even shout them meat and drinks :D

Seriously - we should get in touch with these people....

We have to be the biggest collective gathering of Triton owners ...

At least we should make them aware of our web site...

My two cents...

I may be getting a bit cynical in my old age but I've heard and seen this before and many many year ago was asked to put pen to paper of what would be some of the things that 4wders would like to see.

Among a list of features was we would like to see a better low range gear ratio as in those days it was
1.91 to 1 and what do we have now 1.9 to 1.
Mitsubishi Aust from what I can gather didn't want the 2.5 and was wanting the Paj 3.2 but look what we
got  so don't get all excited as I reckon it's more of a PR stunt . :( :x

One of the BEST things they could do imho is get their quality control back up to speed as I and others I know
think this is seriously lacking atm .

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

Mitsi's don't give a toss about the Australian market. In the scheme of things, it amounts to bugger all of the world market. Definitely a PR stunt. I'd rather they don't get on here too given their penchant for avoiding anything slightly warranty related. I don't need them finding further excuses why they shouldn't honour their warranty.

not so sure about that Greedy....numbers are numbers, but i reckon between us we could give them a few tips!!!

From the website:

"The president and CEO of Mitsubishi Australia, Masahiko Takahashi, said Australia was the single biggest market for the Triton – even outselling Thailand and Brazil where the ute is also popular. This means that Australia – and local drivers – will be crucial to developing the new model, he said."

Problem is it is built to a price. if they added all the stuff we would want them to it would become more expensive. although if done properly it would eat the rest of the market competition.
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

...you can't help but think that sooner or later Mits Triton reps would end up here. You only have to use google..........
