What size is it? Micro? And how many pins etc? Might help those looking to purchase later.

AAARRGGHHHHH :x

Garret Tang: Hi Peter,
I check and found that our shipping agent sent your parcel via China Post by mistake.
So the delivery date will be longer than EMS.
As a compensation, we will refund you $20.
EMS takes about 10-25 days, China Post Air Parcel takes 15-40 days. The parcel should be arrival later.
Sorry about the mistake again.
Best Wish.
Garret

Wanted to have it installed before going away next weekend.
Oh well.

Thanks for the offer but I don't need two of them ;-)

Who knows, it might turn up during the week. I'll get the bolt etc just in case.
No real dramas, it's not as though I'm dragging the camper slowly up a firetrail at any point.

if they are not the same then take it out and give it back to me when yours arrives.

Thanks again anyhow.

Just checked my 07 GLS has the plug. Now i have to figure out went my A/C compressor isn't kicking in. Fuse ok, relay ok. Multimeter is in the work van at the bosses house, so can't check it's actually getting volts until then. They look like a real prick to change the compressor.

Finally got my chinese import installed.
2012 GLX, with colling upgrade.
The plug was there.
Had a bolt in the collection and put a bit of fuel hose over the bottom pins.
Swapped the horn relay over to test it.
About 15 mins work to install.
Works well.
Seems to come on in two cases.
1. AC on - when the AC compressor comes on.
2. AC off, when engine cooling temp get to about 90 deg.
(Engine fan comes on full at 92 deg on mine.)

Tomorrow's job in preparation for heading down the south coast this weekend - though I actually want it more for the climb back up Mt Ousley on the way back.

Cable ties work just as well (if you mean the 4 on top). I too was down to 1 but Chris introduced me to a better style of clip called a Toyota clip - they look like lasting a bit longer than the originals although they don't seem to grab quite as tight.

Re relay to control fan in the standard electrical box under the bonnet.
Just been to Repco and bought a Narva relay.
Works fine. 20 amp, 4 pin, Narva P/N 68062.
About $13.00.
It is about 4mm taller, same dimensions otherwise, and fits.

Just finished diagnosing the same issue on my 06 glxr.

Firstly the thermoswitch thing under the dash was not operating correctly so changed it out to a thermostat

Secondly and main issue was clutch pack on front of compressor was too far out and couldn't get sucked back in when compressor turned on. Took front clutch pack off and removed internal spacer washers and reattached clutch pack. Check if this is the problem by waiting until the compressor no longer kicks in and tapp the front or housing with a long screwdriver or similar. You will see the clutch pack get sucked back in.

Works like a charm and with the new fan is spot on when at idle in traffic.
The next statement is True - The first statement is False

Thanks,

I'll give the clutch a bash tomorrow. Compressor doesn't kick in at all, so not sure if it's clutch or compressor yet. Anyone have part numbers on a clutch pack in case its buggered? What thermostat did you use and where is it located? Mine has the climate control so not sure if it's the same as yours, but I'll give it a go. One of the A/C blokes at work might have a thermostat i can test with

Could be. But that wouldn't stop the compressor from coming on or the magnet in the clutch engaging the compressor when volts are applied to it.
