Airconditioning Thermo Fan connector

Good afternoon Triton Experts, was adjusting my spotlights today & noticed this hanging plug on the passenger side at the front behind the grill, seems to be a part f the wiring loom for the lights ? Don't know why I have never noticed it before but hoping that someone else has found the same plug & worked out what it is/was for. Appreciate the help.

My editing has not come out but this photo is taken downward & the plug is at the bottom you can see the blue wire going into it

I thought it was for use by dealers fitting driving lights (there is a dealer option for hella lights IIRC).

I asked the same question years ago but didn't get an answer. Figured it ain't broke so forgot about it.

It could be for a number of things,
possibly climate control or something thats an additional item, possibly for another country add on.
I seen it the other day on mine, its not disconnected from anything so all good,
Maybe dealer plug into it when checking something..

Theres even additional plugs and stuff up the arse end too under the tray etc.

Might try to check some voltages under different conditions, maybe a wiring loom for lights maybe a laptop point for computer, if its for lights then I will have to connect something to it. Thanks for the feedback, I tried the lazy way see if someone had already traced it.

It's not driving lights as mine were factory fitted and I have that empty plug also
The wires going to it aren't small gauge like you would expect for a sensor or such

When I was hooking up my spotties I was hoping it might be a short cut, but couldn't get any voltage from it under any conditions. I thought maybe it was pre wired for a factory extra, but couldn't find any missing fuses or relays that might get added in to allow power to that plug. I didn't waste too much time tracing it though.

I cannot get any voltage to it under any condition,surely mits would not just have a dead plug wired in ? Keep lookinh

This Plug is for the Thermo Fan, you need to put the Relay Fuse in the Fuse box, it is switched on auto by the ECU depending on temperature.

Nice new guy can you tell me has this helped with cooling for the car our is the thermo being used for the aircon.

You beauty I was going to put a sensor on the liquid line for a fan but I think I will do this instead.

Thanks for that info mate, will keep an eye on your posts as it`s info like that which is very handy.
The way looms are made these days its some times very difficult to track the odd free connector.

Part numbers would be excellent. I can see about 100 selling in the first couple of hours....

This isn't installed on my Truck, From the Reports it is a Kit from Mitsubishi In Thailand which they use to assit temperature in towing up steep hills and the increased flow while slow 4WD.
Dealers should be able to source them here/Aus. But most 10inch Fans should fit up.

I will see if i can find the Part Numbers out.
