Airconditioning Thermo Fan connector

Re: Airconditioning Thermo Fan connector

Is this plug confirmed on all models, i ask this because i searched my 08glx yesterday and couldn't find the plug. I didn't remove the grill but did have an intense look around to no avail.
Would be great to have this, and i appreciate the effort lee and newguy have made.

Basically, with some slight (but necessary) variations for petrol and diesel, Mitsubishi made two complete harnesses. GLX-R, VR, and the ill-fated GLS got the same wiring harness including plugs and wiring for various extras that were not sold here , but GL and GLX did not. There were some running changes year to year especially in the connectors behind the passenger kick panel but the system stayed pretty much the same even into the MN.

i just had a look on a ML TRITON VR 3.2 and there is no connector there as shown in the picture,

SO, anyone that has the connector as shown in post 1 can fit a Thermo fan and relay in and it will operate when the air con compressor clutch is engaged.

FAN number MN123607 New Triton Club Price $253.08 + Tax
Relay p/n MR588567 $19.80 + Tax

PLEASE NOTE, there are only now 3 fans in the country at this time

if you order them it may take a couple of weeks to get them from Japan.

Cheers Lee

Well done lee, Not being mechanically minded  I am taking from what you have said about it running only when the A/C compressor is on ? So for water crossings if the A/C is off the thermo cannot come on ? Thanks in advance.

Duck,

Correct mate, if you air con is off then the thermo fan wont operate, it is controlled by the ECU, but there is a shroud on both sides so it should be ok even if it comes in contact with water,

Mine is now all installed and running, took me a whole 5 minutes,

The green/yellow wire goes to where the headlight washer relay would sit in an upmarket/overseas triton, assume that is what its for.
